History Of The Department
The program aims to introduce a wide range of Literatures in English. At a primary level, this program aims to offer opportunity to the students to read and respond to a large spectrum of novels, plays and poetry with associated genres. At a secondary
level, the students will be exposed to wider socio-cultural and political issues in relation to contemporary English literature. This intensive Honours program in English would serve as an excellent foundation
to students who want to pursue an in-depth study.
The Department caters the educational needs of its students and all round development in the students under its care. English Department, one of the outstanding departments, working eminently with its fullest efforts has been assisted by ten efficient
Assistant Professors, out of which most of us have a work experience of more than Two years.
