Exam Cell

Internal Assessment Test
  • The time table for continuous internal Assessment test is prepared by the exam cell and circulated to the departments.
  • All the faculty members are requested to submit their question paper approved by the HOD to the exam cell through the HOD/Coordinator/Class in charge of their department as per the circular.
  • The exam cell makes adequate copies of the question paper.
  • Hall plan and seating arrangement for the exam is prepared by the exam cell.
  • Students should be present with College identification card.
  • Students are required to leave their belongings in the common room allotted in the respective floor.
  • After the examination the collected answer sheet will be tallied with list of absentees for each course.
  • Faculty in-charge of the respective course can collect their papers from the exam cell.

End Semester Examination
  • Papers received from University are arranged code wise.
  • Exam cell maintains a stock register on the number of booklets received from University, its usage and the balance booklets available.
  • Nominal roll sent by University is verified to check the eligible candidate list.
  • Hall tickets are issued to the eligible students after ensuring that their photographs are pasted and it carries the required seals.
  • The Question paper packets sent through a messenger form the university will be received and checked with the nominal role and timetable.
  • Hall plan and seating arrangement for the exam is prepared by the exam cell.
  • The register numbers of the students are written in the respective desks according to the seating arrangement and hall plan.
  • Students should be present with College identification card and hall ticket.
  • Candidates should be in their seats at least 5 minutes prior to the commencement of the examination.
  • No candidate desirous of writing the examination will be permitted to enter the hall later than 30 minutes from the commencement of the examination.
  • No candidate will be permitted to leave the hall earlier than 45 minutes from the commencement of examination.
  • No candidate who left the hall before the end of the session shall be permitted to re-enter the hall under any circumstances.
  • Attendance sheet is collected from the concerned hall within half an hour from the commencement of the examination on the exam date.
  • Exam Cell maintains the details of the external invigilator.
  • The answer sheets are packed degree wise in the cover which bears the register number of the candidates, absentees falling within the register number and the covers will be sealed.
  • The answer paper with the delivery slip will be handed over to the university staff on the respective dates given by University.

Muthayammal Memorial College of Arts & Science - Admission 2018

Muthayammal Memorial College of Arts & Science is an affiliate college which offers 8 undergraduate, 5 postgraduate and with affiliation toPeriyar University. Application process is common for all the UG and PG courses offered by the college.

  • For Undergraduate Courses, the candidate must have passed the HSC (10+2) examination from a recognized board.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline is mandatory to secure admission In the PG programs.
  • Admissions are offered on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination followed by document verification at the college.
Muthayammal Memorial College of Arts & Science UG Admission 2018: B.A, B.Sc & B.Com

Admission to various 3-year undergraduate programs of Muthayammal Memorial College of Arts & Science, Kakkaveri.Rasipuram The minimum qualification to apply for this program is a pass in Higher Secondary Examinations (10+2) with 50% (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC) marks and English as one of the main subjects from Tamil Nadu State Board or its equivalent.

Minimum Eligibity :

  • Pass in all subjects of HSC (10+2) examination with minimum 50% marks (relaxation of 5% marks is allowed for SC/ST/OBC)

Note : All the UG courses will Initium at June.

Muthayammal Memorial College of Arts & Science PG Admission 2018: M.A, M.Sc, MCOM

The college also offers admission to 2-year postgraduate programs in various specializations.
The minimum qualification for this program is a Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC) from University or University affiliated colleges or its equivalent..

Minimum Eligibity :

  • Pass in any Bachelor’s Degree from University or University affiliated colleges or its equivalent.

Note : All the PG courses will Initium at July.

  • Admission to the M.A./MCOM ./M.Sc. programs is done based upon the rules issued by the Tamil Nadu government.
  • Age of applicants should not be more than 24-years to apply for PG program.

Activities Of The Cell

The Placement Cell provides a platform for the final year students to be aware of the career opportunities by organizing awareness programmes on Career Planning and expectations of employers. Employability Skills like communication skill, Group discussion, Team Building, Resume Preparation and Interviewing skills are imparted through training on regular basis and inviting guest lecturers. Students are entertained to take part in on campus and off campus placement drives.

The Placement cell initiated communicative English training for the first year students and quantitative aptitude training and Soft Skill training will be given when they come to second and third year.

The cell assisted the students to obtain passport who wish to pursue overseas education or like to take overseas employment.

Women's Development Cell

Women’s Development Cell (WDC) at Muthayammal Memorial College of Arts & Science is instituted in the month of October 2014. The aim of this cell is to prepare a woman of high potential to meet challenges of the society. It also aims to develop their self-confidence and leadership qualities that transform them into a responsible citizen through extension activities. It is a standalone cell collaborating with various public and private sectors.


WDC has a vision of encourage and redefine initiatives the scope of higher education given to rural & social responsible Women citizen and support of Women education against practices such as early marriage, female infanticide, women foeticide, domestic violence against women, unequal rights to women and health.


The cell for Women’s Development, Muthayammal Memorial College of Arts & Science will provide a platform.

  • To initiate women to achieve excellence in research, administration and nation building through superior education.
  • To fill the embryonic research eagerness on power areas on gender vision and integrity.
  • To support girl students in their endeavor to initiate or conduct interdisciplinary women’s studies.

Faculty Development Cell

Faculty Development Cell (FDC) at Muthayammal Memorial College of Arts & Science was instituted in the month of August 2014. The FDC is responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive program for all instructional faculties across a broad range of professional practice domains:

  • Enhancing excellence in teaching through demonstrating and assessing significant student learning outcomes.
  • Providing professional development opportunities, including leadership which helps in organizational development.
  • Incorporating the effective use of technology.
  • Inculcating an awareness on the variety in faculty growth and development and offers comprehensive, on-going, developmental, and flexible supportive programs.
  • Identifying the training needs of the faculty members and coordinating the training arrangements, in consultation with the departments.
  • Evaluating the training efficiency and maintaining the training records of the faculty members.

  • To develop the Core Competence of Faculty by making them do more funded, external or internal projects.
  • To develop the soft-skills of teachers like Communication ability, Basic IT capability, Basic mathematical ability, etc.

Equal Opportunity Cell

EOC, Our College ensures that all students are treated as equal. We attempt to address deep- seated inequalities in our system. This cell promotes awareness on the life and also guides students to avail all permissible scholarships and financial assistance.
Our college makes sure that none of the physically challenged students are left behind in the learning progress. Teachers pay more attention to their special needs and provide them more encouragement and support by conducting special sessions. The effective implementation of policies and programs for disadvantaged groups, provide guidance and counseling with respect to academic, financial, social and to enhance the diversity within the campus.

As per guidelines from UGC, an Equal Opportunity Cell is formed at MMCAS, Rasipuram, Namakkal. The proposed objectives of the EOC are as follows:

  • To accept and implement harmonized guidelines and space standards for barrier free built environment for persons with disability and elderly persons.
  • To clarify the issues for persons with disability and elderly in the campus and to provide an enabling and non-discriminative environment for them.
  • To promote general policies and practices for persons with disability and elderly on the campus.
  • To look into the objection of the persons with disability/elderly in the campus and ensure equality and equal opportunities to the disadvantaged group on campus through proper implementation of policies, skills and programs of society.
  • To circulate the information related to schemes and programs for the welfare of the persons with disability and elderly or other related agencies/organizations issued from time to time.
  • To systematize the above mentioned objectives, an ‘Equal Opportunity Cell’ has been formed at the college involving of the following members.
